While the city has no true downtown area and is primarily residential, it does encompass a gourmet grocery store, a gas station, and a bank. And shopping and dining opportunities can easily be found in nearby Montclair, Park Boulevard, and Rockridge. What Piedmont does have in abundance is family-oriented traditions such as an Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and an old-fashioned Fourth of July Parade.
